About Me:: Da sempre appassionato di musica. Inizia a studiare chitarra classica privatamente dall'età di 12 anni. Dopo una militanza in alcuni gruppi rock e prog-rock come chitarrista inizia ad interessarsi al jazz e ad approfondire le proprie conoscenze musicali. Dal '91 al '95 segue corsi e seminari alla Scuola Popolare di Musica di Testaccio a Roma riguardanti teoria e solfeggio, ear training, armonia, arrangiamento e improvvisazione jazz con insegnanti di rilievo come S. Pogelli, M. Tiso e M.Lazzaro.

Nel frattempo si laurea in Architettura e dopo un lungo periodo di pausa in cui si dedica prevalentemente all'attività professionale comincia ad interessarsi alla musica digitale.

Nel 2006 produce il suo primo album "Nuvole e pioggia" opera prima totalmente realizzata tramite pc e strumenti midi.

Musica elettronica, ma con influenze che vengono dal prog rock, dal jazz e dalla musica classica.

Nell'ottobre 2007 pubblica il suo secondo album "Estatika" con 11 tracce orientate più marcatamente verso l'elettronica e l'ambient.

Per la traccia omonima realizza anche un video in grafica 3d.

Born in Italy (1966). Since his early years has played musical instruments like organs and pianos. At age of twelve he began to learn classic guitar by private lessons.
Meanwhile he bought an electric guitar and started to study it too.
After playing with many school groups he decided to improve his musical skills, learning harmony, arrangements, composition and jazz improvisation.
He has studied with some of the most important italian musicians such as S. Pogelli, M. Tiso, M. Lazzaro.

His influences originate from many music genres, rock, trip hop, electronic, prog rock, jazz and acid jazz, acoustic guitar and piano players.
His music is all made by PC,and midi instruments.

He has produced his first album "Nuvole e Pioggia" in 2006. Songs inside show how eclectical is the Pierref's music approach. Some of these songs are more ambient electronic and new age oriented, some other more prog rock oriented.

In October 2007 his second album “Estatika” was pubblished.
It contents 11 instrumental electronic tracks.
One videoclip has been produced for the title track “Estatika”.
