- Un curriculum atipico quello del chitarrista Luca Pedroni, musicista poliedrico,creativo sia “sullo strumento” solista sia quando lavora in gruppo.
Nato nel 1979, Pedroni incarna perfettamente la figura del chitarrista completo:ragazzo timido quanto disinvolto e originale sulle sei corde, ha la dote di sapersi prestare a svariati generi musicali. A 18 anni,dopo aver affrontato gli studi classici in Conservatorio, si concentra sulla musica moderna jazz e blues perfezionandosi al Centro Professione Musica di Milano. Da qui rivolge la propria attenzione ai generi musicali più diversi affiancando musicisti rock,metal, funky,blues,ska del calibro di Roy Paci, Andy Davies, Julia St.Louis, Mary Birch, Alessio Beltrami, Kaso,per non dimenticare l’esperienza con l’Orchestra di Chitarre Classiche Sextha Consort.
Nel 2005 esordisce con il primo lavoro solista “Ottobre”.Il cd, autoprodotto e inciso presso lo studio milanese di Pietro Nobile, è il frutto della capace fusione delle diverse esperienze musicali maturate negli anni. A partire dallo stesso anno Pedroni entra a far parte dei chitarristi acustici dell’ADGPA ,diventa endorser Schertler ,recensioni del suo cd appaiono su diverse riviste di settore.
“Luca Pedroni è un musicista di tocco e di sostanza visto che le sue composizioni oltre che le sue esecuzioni giungono prima all’orecchio e subito dopo all’immaginazione.Ascoltando i suoi brani si aprono scenari sonori inconsueti, che si legano alla grande tradizione chitarristica aggiungendo l’impronta personale del percorso di questo artista nostrano.” -Corte Manlio enovisuoni 2007-
“ Il tentativo del lavoro è quello di far convivere fingerstyle e fingerpicking con il classico flatpicking, adottando una tecnica mista che va dal chickenpicking al freestyle. Le influenze di Pedroni si muovono dalla chitarra elettrica di Steve Morse, al blues di S.R.Vaughan; dal country di Beppe Gambetta e Tommy Emmanuel, alle dolci melodie di Pat Metheny e Pietro Nobile. Infatti è proprio la varietà di fonti di ispirazione che ha consentito la creazione di composizioni al tempo stesso melodiche e accattivanti.” -Guitar Club 2007-

The debut disc of Luca Pedroni is an imaginary acoustic journey from April to October, starting already at the first track with freshness and originality. One notes from the beginning, and through all the tracks, traits which make these new compositions special and interesting, for example the touch which is decisive touch but at the same time attentive to the suggestive use of dynamics. Also apparent is the creative and musically sensitive use of the technique of artificial harmonics - unfortunately frequently used by others simply as “evocative filling“. While the harmonies are not extremely complex the extensive employment of spacious voicing creates a light atmosphere but one which is never too rarefied, as in the case of “il silenzio delle onde” (“silence of the waves”) or “immagine latent” (“latent images“). Technically noteworthy and captivating are the two tracks “cavoli e cicogne” (“cauliflowers and storks”) and “cerchi nel grano” (“circles in the straw”), between blues and funk, with walking bass and obstinate beats and rhythmic presences. “Ottobre” and “Aprile” with very different atmospheres bring together clean execution and extreme attention to detail in passages to be discovered through attentive and introverted listening. Definitely a disc to be recommended - and not only to the lovers of the six strings.

With his first CD entitled ”Ottobre” (October) he has demonstrated perfect competence in all the main techniques from polyphonic fingerstyle to the use of the plectrum, from tapping with two hands to classical picking, as well as the use of the soundbox for percussion.”
