I Broken Melody nascono nell’aprile del 2006 ad Alghero,la band decide di dedicarsi interamente alla creazione di brani propri e così, Roberto Ortu e Francesco Palmieri, cominciano a comporre dei brani che finiranno su una demo tape acustica.Le idee piacciono sin da subito alla band e così comincia il lavoro in studio. Nel febbraio del 2007 i Broken Melody si recano presso i Sound Room Studio di Maurizio Pinna e dopo mesi di lungo lavoro e mixaggio danno alla luce due lavori che stanno tutt’ora riscuotendo un inaspettato successo da parte di pubblico e critica. L’EP “If you want to fly” e il CD “Face the world” suscitano molto interesse grazie alle melodie catchy e ai ritornelli da stadio che da subito diventano un ottimo punto di riferimento per la band. Motivati dal successo riscontrato, dall’entrata nel rooster Alkemist e con all’attivo numerose collaborazioni e partecipazioni in compilation, concorsi e interviste, la band decide di rimettersi al lavoro per un futuro lavoro.Nell’ottobre 2007 Riccardo Cherchi lascia la band e Emanuele Ninu (Canberra) entra a farne parte.
L’influenza di Emanuele porta la band su un sound più aggressivo e violento, aggiungendo un tocco personale ai Broken Melody.
Il gruppo ha subito l’influenza dei vari componenti,Francesco Palmeri(cantante) dai Vision Divine e Sonata arctica, Roberto Ortu(chitarra) dagli Iron Maiden e Stratovarius,Emanuele Ninu
(chitarra) dai Guns’n’Roses, Ac/Dc, Led Zeppelin, Francesco Usai ( batteria) dai Killswitch Engage, Lamb of God, e infine Gabriele Viviani (Basso) influenzato dall’hard rock e metal.

The Broken Melody born on April 2006 as an ambitious and comprehensive project. After a good period of live performances and positive feedback from the critics and public, the band decided to devote himself entirely to the creation of their songs, and so, Francesco Palmieri and Roberto Ortu, begin to compose the songs will end on an acoustic demo tape.The band like Immediately the ideas and so begins work in the studio. In February 2007, Broken Melody enter at the Sound Room Studio of Maurizio Pinna and after long months of work and mix bring to life two works that are still having an unexpected success on the part of public And criticism. The EP “If you want to fly” and the CD “Face the world” arouse much interest because the catchy melodies and arena tunes. This kind of sound become an excellent reference point for the band. Motivated by success, after the enter in the Alkemist’s rooster and played with numerous collaborations And shares in compilation, competitions and interviews, the band decided to start to work for a future job.
On October 2007 Riccardo Cherchi leaves the band and Emanuele Ninu (Canberra) enters it. The influence of Emanuele leads the band on more aggressive and violent sound, adding a personal touch at Broken Melody.
The EP “If You Want to Fly” is already on sale on the best digital stores worldwide.
The CD “Face the World” will be available soon on the best digital stores, like I-Tunes, E-Music, Napster, Rhapsody and others.
In the April of 2008 the band is working on new material that will end on a demo tape. In June will be a very interesting proposal from the Alkemist Fanatix Agency for the future of the band.
In the Summer season the band reached important goals like a new contract deal from an important english label and they win the Alguerock Festival.
