My life is a movie I am starring in every single day of my truly amazing & wonderful life! I am the secret grandson of Marylin Monroe & John F. Kennedy. I was born singing and have played electronic guitar since I was 6 months old ! Wrote my 1st full length symphony in half an hour between passing the bar & getting my 2nd solo publication in a medical journal by the age of five years old. I will soon be performing live in the custom 2.7 billion dollar theatre I personally designed in Dubai exclusively. I am smarter than Albert Einstein, sing better than Frank Sinatra, am more popular than the Beatles & have made love with more women than Wilt Chamberlin. And I am better looking than Brad Pitt, work well with others and I am also very modest. This year I will win an Oscar, a Grammy, the Lottery twice & the Nobel Peace Prize. Oh yeah I can dance better than Perry Farrell, too !



In the schizophonetic statistical analysis of artistic achievement ~ there is often more than one point of view available at any given time . . . & if we were to let history decide ~ we might not be around to let them know if they've got it all right or all wrong anyways . . . The way I hear it ~ it's different every single time ! So If I decide to butter someone up with flowery songs of praise ~ so be it ~ for I do tend to wear my emotions on my sleeve, so to speak. I would plug my body of work , as well as my my my newest tune at this time ~ yet I realize everyone reading this knows I am doing that anyway . . . Not every Rock & Roller can combine various elements of reggae & country western hip licks on guitar with a combination of exotic World vocals , a dissonant choir , an overly bodacious Rock drummer , two bass guitarists , & even toss in a symphony orchestra in an extremely loose , kind of Jazz eats Grateful Dead style in an extended jam session ~ the party never stops when recording in my Ashram / Asylum ~ & whilest partying like a maniacal rock star with his final death wish ~(on a week long binge that has no ending in sight , & very well might continue well into the next couple of years) and look this good doing it ..... (Actually that song was yesterday) . . . . It's tough being me ~ but someone's gotta do it ..... Welcome to my world !



I am ~ The Altruistic Messiah ~ Ben Vandagriff ~ And on this very day ~ I ~ His Divine Grace Himself ~ Now do proclaim ~ Together, we are sharing in a prototype of social engineering that is bringing different media's into a shared collective. One that is lending light to darkness ~ as my sisters & brothers, together we've created, as both a team & individuals ~ so many strides in mass communication that the exponential ramifications will echo throughout ~ not only our very lives but for all eternity ~ infinity ~ as victory is ours to share with every single living person ~



I was born in an open guitar case ~ the guitar was pawned long ago ~ in a seedy section of Los Angeles that most of the local residents of this City of Angels has never even seen ~ only 10 miles from the center of Hollywood ~ outside on the street in the cold ~ surrounded by the litter of broken bottles that fueled the very fabric of the lives of my entire family and all our neighbors ~ in this neighborhood known as Skid Row. It had been said that my dad died on the day I was born too ~ It was the last anyone had ever heard of him. The music around there was the sound of lost men pissing on the wall beside you ~ the murmur of mentally ill jiberesh ~ the sound of someone vomiting 10 feet away ~ the song of the helpless & the hopeless begging & crying all around you ~ with an ambience of gunshots & sirens in the near distance ~ & the whimper of a broken mother just a little closer. Who would have thought things were ever going to get better ? No one that's who. Not one single person within four dirty depressed city blocks with a glimmer of hope. And for once all the poor down & out victims of society had the misfortune of being right for once ~ as our streak of bad luck continued unbroken. I died in that guitar case the very day I was born. I was the lucky one.

My name is Ben, I'm a recording artist on Moiko Records.I play some pretty eclectic stuff in a wide variety of genres ~ & I'm a little nuts !!!!
My band is called The Altruistic Messiah & my debut CD is titled "THE CEO OF ROCK & ROLL !"


I've also produced a Rock compilation CD for the charity ~ Habitat for Humanity ~ that features 14 up & coming artists & myself each donating a song, also on the Moiko label.
